Steddy

Quoted and signed on the driveway.

Write it in the office or on the tech's phone, send it by email in your name, or hand the phone across. The homeowner draws a signature and ticks the box for your terms, and the office knows the same minute.

From the enquiry to the signature

  1. Write it, in the office or on the driveway

From the enquiry, the customer, or the job. Or the tech writes it on their phone in Steddy Crew. Lines come from your service and parts catalogues at your sell price; the cost price never appears. GST is worked out. Your terms are on it. It is valid for 14 days unless you set a different number.

  2. Send it, or hand over the phone

By email, in your business's name with your logo and colour, and a button to view and sign. Or the tech taps Sign on my phone and passes it across while the homeowner is standing there.

  3. Signed, and the office knows

The homeowner reads the whole quote, draws a signature, types their name and ticks the box for your terms. The office gets an email and a notification the same minute. The link stops working, so it can't be signed twice. When the tech finishes the job, the accepted quote's lines become the invoice.

What's kept with each signature

The signing page is Steddy's own, not a third-party service, and it carries your terms. Everything about the acceptance is kept with the quote. In the office it is one button: View signature and audit trail.

The signature itself
Drawn with a finger or a mouse, saved as an image against the quote.
Who, and when
The name they typed and the moment they signed.
From where
The device and browser, and the IP address it came from.
Your terms, as they were that day
The homeowner ticks the box for your terms and conditions to sign. The version they agreed to is kept, even if you change your terms next month.

Every attempt to sign is logged, and a link can only be used once.

Waiting, declined, running out of time

Waiting on customer
The job shows it. You can see when the homeowner has opened the quote and not yet answered.
Declined, with a reason
The homeowner can decline from the same page and say why. The office is emailed. The tech can also mark it declined on site.
Expiring soon
The quotes list flags anything that runs out within three days, so someone follows it up while the work is still there to win.
Expired
The link stops working on the date, and the quote is stamped so nobody quotes last month's prices. A revised quote starts from the old one on the tech's phone.
