Steddy

Paid on site, before the tech gets back in the van.

Steddy is job management for trade businesses running 2 to 25 vans. It runs your day, then tells you what every job, every suburb and every lead source actually made.

The Jobs screen in Steddy on a desktop: counts of open, on hold, quoted, completed and cancelled jobs; four more for unassigned, declined, overdue and awaiting payment; and the day's jobs, each with customer, service, technician and status, payment state, value, time window and address.

What Steddy does

Runs your day

Quote on the driveway and get it approved while you're standing there. Dispatch from the office screen, not the wall. Invoice before you leave. Take payment on site.

In the field, Steddy Crew works with no signal in a basement, then syncs once you're back in range.

Tells you what it made

Profit on every job. Revenue by suburb, lead source and tech. A profit and loss with the overheads in it. Even for a business that has never spent a cent on advertising. Instead of “we had a busy month”, you know which work was worth taking.

Every dollar reports back.

Seeing which lead source paid is included for every business, advertising or not.

If you run Google Ads, Loop sends each paid job back to Google as what it was: money. Google learns which ads paid and goes looking for more jobs like them.

Loop comes with the Steddy Loop and Steddy Fleet plans. The pricing page has both.

The loop closing. A call comes in. The job gets paid. If you run Google Ads, Loop tells Google what that job made, and Google goes looking for more jobs like it.CallGoogle

Built steady. Offline in the field. Month to month, no lock-in.

How it works

  1. Run the job from the call to the payment

The call comes in, the job is booked, the tech is dispatched, the quote is approved, the invoice is sent, the money lands. One record, start to finish.

  2. Keep the source attached the whole way

Where the job came from stays on the job. Word of mouth, the website, a Google ad, a repeat customer. It never gets lost between the phone and the invoice.

  3. See what each one made

Profit on the job. Revenue by suburb, lead source and tech, and which of them pays. And if you advertise, Loop sends the paid job back to Google so it finds more like it.

The old game runs on paper, memory and hope.

You run the day off a whiteboard and your phone. You do the admin at nine at night. You take whatever work comes in and find out at the end of the month whether it added up.

The enemy is guessing.

Ask an owner which jobs paid last month, which suburb paid, which lead source paid. Usually they can't say.

Who it's for

Built for the business running 2 to 25 vans. Not for the one-person operation, and not for the company that needs a consultant on site for a month.

By size

  1. 2 to 5 vans

You’re still on the tools some days and nobody is in the office yet. Quote on the driveway, invoice before you leave, get paid on site.

  2. 6 to 15 vans

You’re off the tools, or trying to be. Someone answers the phones, and dispatch has outgrown the whiteboard. Steddy runs the day and shows you what each job made.

  3. 16 to 25 vans

There’s a marketing budget and someone answerable for it. You see which lead source, suburb and tech the money came in from.

Your software runs the jobs. Does it know what any of them made?

Job software that stops at the invoice can tell you the job is done and the money is in. Then it goes quiet. The questions that decide whether the business is working go unanswered.

“What did that job actually make?”
Profit on every completed job, after parts, tolls, card fees and the tech's commission. Not the invoice total. The number that is yours.
“What did the month make?”
A profit and loss with your overheads in it: rent, insurance, software, the office. Revenue, then what is left.
“The ads cost this much. What did they bring in?”
With Steddy Loop: tracking numbers set up and run for you. Spend against revenue and profit, per campaign and per lead source. Cost per lead, cost per job, return on ad spend.
“Is the agency worth what I pay it?”
With Steddy Loop, the agency sits in the same table as every other source: what it cost, what it brought in, what that made. If it brought in nothing, the table shows a zero next to what it cost.
“How many of the calls became jobs?”
Booking rate by day, by the person on the phones, by campaign. Quotes sent against quotes accepted.

Quotes, dispatch, invoices, paid on site: Steddy runs the day. So does other software. The kind that stops at the invoice goes quiet on the money.
